ABOUT SUN DANCE STUDIO
Sun Dance Studio, owned and run by Annette Urbschat, offers quality dance instruction for all ages to the greater Burlington, VT, area. It provides a family-oriented non-competitive learning environment for fun, health-conscious exercise and cultural enrichment.
A specialty of Annette's studio is to serve entire families and even to teach parents and children in an intergenerational setting.
Personal growth and fitness is fostered through individualized instruction, which allows each student to work at her/his level of intensity and technique.
Sun Dance Studio is a non-discriminatory business open to people of all ages, races, and creeds. This creates a multi-generational environment in which each individual can celebrate her or his place in time and space, and connect with others.
HISTORY OF SUN DANCE STUDIO
Sun Dance Studio has served the greater Burlington, VT, area since 1991. It first operated in the Champlain Islands from 1991-1999 at its former location in South Hero, VT.
In South Hero Annette taught creative dance, parent-and-tot dance, ballet, modern/jazz dance, tap dance, improvisation, choreography, and gymnastics. She produced one annual recital at the local school, did community outreach programs at Folsom Education Center, and offered summer programs.
In 1999, the school was moved to Chace Mill in Burlington, where Annette taught parent-and-tot classes, creative dance for four and five year olds, ballet from ages six to adult, and adult modern dance/jazz dance. After six months at this location, Sun Dance Studio was closed for personal reasons.
Although Sun Dance Studio no longer has a fixed location, it continues to offer dance instruction at various facilities throughout the region.
